The Journal of Bhutan Studies

The Journal of Bhutan Studies is a twice-yearly publication of the Centre for Bhutan Studies, an autonomous research institute dedicated towards promoting research and scholarship on Bhutan. The institute is governed by the Council for the Centre of Bhutan Studies. The journal publishes scholarly research on the social, cultural and economic aspects of Bhutan. While Internet edition of the Journal can be accessed through the Centre's own website by clicking here, the Digital Himalaya Project has reached an agreement with the Centre to co-host the journal to improve download speeds for scholars based in Europe and North America, and also to archive the contents on our searchable portal pages. The journal welcomes the submission of articles and research papers in English. Articles should be typed and double spaced and sent by email to the editor at: cbs@druknet.bt. On account of the compression format we have used for the PDF files, we advise that you install the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat which can be downloaded by clicking here. Please send us a short email to say whether this service is of interest and utility to you. Feedback will determine whether we proceed with the digitisation of further volumes.
